ในปีการศึกษา 2556 มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพามีนโยบายที่จะรับนักเรียนที่มีผลการเรียนดีเข้าศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี ภาคปกติ จึงประกาศคัดเลือกบุคคลเข้าศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีโครงการเพชรตะวันออก ประจำปีการศึกษา 2556 โดยมีรายละเอียด ดังต่อไปนี้
1. คุณสมบัติทั่วไปของผู้สมัคร
1.1 เป็นนักเรียนที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ในชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 6 จากโรงเรียนในเขตพื้นที่ 12 จังหวัด ภาคตะวันออก หรือมีภูมิลำเนาตามสำเนาทะเบียนบ้าน หรื บิดา-มารดามีภูมิลำเนาตามสำเนาทะเบียนบ้านอยู่ใน 12 จังหวัด ดังต่อไปนี้ จันทบุรี ฉะเชิงเทรา ชลบุรี ระยอง นครนายก ปราจีนบุรี ตราด สระแก้วสมุทรปราการ ลพบุรี สระบุรี และพระนครศรีอยุธยา
1.2 มีผลการเรียนเฉลี่ยสะสมตั้งแต่ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 – 5 (4 ภาคเรียน) ไม่ต่ำกว่า 3.00
1.3 มีตำแหน่งเปอร์เซ็นต์ไทล์ของผลการเรียนตั้งแต่ชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 4 – 5 (4 ภาคเรียน)ตั้งแต่ 85 ขึ้นไป
1.4 มีความประพฤติเรียบร้อย
1.5 ไม่เป็นโรคติดต่อร้ายแรงที่สังคมรังเกียจหรือโรคสำคัญที่เป็นอุปสรรคต่อการศึกษา
1.6 มีคุณสมบัติเฉพาะตามที่คณะและสาขาวิชากำหนด
